FAQs

FAQs

Do you create interactive content?

Our range of projects extends beyond conventional video and animation. Over the past few years, we have also developed phone apps, clickable animations, and interactive training courses that allow viewers to shape the storyline. When provided with a brief, we are eager to offer cost estimates and suggest areas where our partner agencies' specialized expertise may enhance the project's outcome.

Can you make our video go ‘viral’?

Achieving viral status for video content is unpredictable, and we caution against organizations that claim to guarantee such results. Nonetheless, we are pleased to provide guidance on expanding the reach of your content to a broader audience. If you desire further exploration in this area, we can offer recommendations for our trusted collaborators who specialize in SEO and social media strategies.

Do you keep copies of your projects?

We retain backup copies of footage and project files for a minimum of four years as a standard practice. Should you require any updates or revisions to older projects, such as rebranding or updating business information, we are more than willing to assist. We prioritize data sensitivity and can ensure the deletion of all our copies of media upon project completion if there are any concerns in this regard.

In what format will I receive my video files?

Our standard practice is to deliver completed videos in widely used formats such as .mp4 or .mov. However, we offer complimentary file conversions to accommodate any preferred format you require. Feel free to provide the desired format, and we will ensure the video is converted accordingly at no additional cost.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We utilize professional broadcast-quality 4K video cameras to capture all of our footage, ensuring high-quality visuals. Additionally, we employ additional equipment such as radio mics, lighting kits, and green screens when necessary. Our commitment to staying current with industry standards means that we continuously invest in new equipment and software to adapt to the rapidly evolving landscape.

Can you add subtitles to your videos?

We offer two subtitle options: embedding subtitles directly into the video or providing a separate subtitle file. With embedded subtitles, they always appear in the video regardless of the platform. Alternatively, a separate subtitle file can be uploaded alongside the video on platforms like YouTube, allowing viewers to toggle subtitles on and off. We have experience providing subtitles in over a dozen languages to cater to diverse audiences.

Do you add voiceovers and music?

If your project requires a voiceover, we can provide you with a range of different voiceover samples to choose from. Once you make your selection, we'll take care of coordinating the recording and production of the voiceover.

For background music, if it is needed for your video, we have access to a wide variety of tracks from royalty-free music libraries. We will carefully select a suitable track that complements the tone and message of your video. We will also ensure that you receive the necessary license to use the chosen music in the final video.

What about graphics and branding?

As part of our services, we will incorporate any necessary motion graphics into the video. These graphics can range from a subtle animated logo to a collection of visually appealing infographics. Our goal is to use graphics in a way that enhances the message of the video rather than adding unnecessary complexity.

How much input do you require from us?

As a starting point, I would suggest arranging a face-to-face meeting or sending you a short questionnaire. This will greatly assist us in understanding your project requirements and goals. You have the option to provide as much or as little input as you desire throughout the scripting, filming, and editing process. Rest assured, we will keep you well-informed at every step of the way.

In terms of animation projects, our usual approach involves collaborating with you to establish the key messages. Following that, we will create a draft script and propose a visual style for your review. However, we are also more than happy to work with a full script or storyboard provided by you. Our aim is to ensure that we meet your specific vision for the project while delivering high-quality results.

How large is your crew for filming?

This may vary depending on the specific job and its requirements. In the case of simple talking heads interviews or case studies, we can offer the option of a 'self-shooting' videographer who works alone to capture all the necessary footage.

However, our preferred approach is to have a two- or three-person crew. This team typically consists of a producer/director, who oversees the filming process and conducts interviews, along with one or two camera operators focused on the visual and technical aspects. By having a dedicated producer/director and camera operators, we can ensure that the key messages of your video are covered more effectively.

In situations that involve more complex filming requirements, we may suggest additional crew members such as extra camera operators, a sound recordist, or a drone operator. These additions will be clearly outlined and costed separately in our quote, ensuring transparency and flexibility in meeting your specific needs.

What does the video production process involve?

Every project I work on is unique, but I generally break down the production process into three main phases:

  1. Pre-production: This is where I collaborate with you to    understand your business and determine your video needs. We will explore questions such as who your target audience is, which platforms you intend to publish on, and the key messages you want to convey. Based on this information, I will create a video outline or a detailed script, finalize budgets, and schedule filming dates in coordination with you.

  2. Production: This is the excitement of "filming." My skilled crew and I will capture all the necessary footage, whether it's interviews, event coverage, or product demonstrations. We can film at your location, in my studio, or at other relevant locations to effectively convey your video's message.

  3. Post-production: After capturing the footage, I dive into the editing process. Carefully, I assemble and refine the footage into a cohesive narrative, incorporating graphics, titles, and music as appropriate. You will have the opportunity to review one or more drafts and provide feedback before the finalization of the video.

My goal is to work closely with you throughout these phases, ensuring that I bring your vision to life and deliver a final product that exceeds your expectations.

How much does video and animation production cost?

Let's start with the question I get asked the most! When it comes to video production, the answer depends on several factors:

First, it depends on whether I will be filming in one location or multiple locations. The number of locations affects the logistics and time required for filming.

Next, the duration of the filming process and the size of the crew needed also play a role. If it's a longer shoot or requires a larger crew, it will impact the overall cost.

The complexity of the edited video is another factor to consider, especially if there are animated elements involved. More complex editing requires more time and resources, which can affect the cost.

Additionally, I need to know if I'm producing a single video or a series of related videos. This helps in determining the overall scope and budget for the project.

When it comes to animation, the costs will vary depending on factors such as the style and complexity (2D or 3D), and whether existing assets like characters are used or need to be created from scratch. The duration of the final animation also affects the cost.

It's important to note that I work with clients who have different budgets, so no matter what your requirements are, I can find a solution that fits your needs.

Feel free to contact me today, and we can discuss your options in detail. I will then be able to provide you with a detailed proposal and cost breakdown tailored to your specific needs.
